Reiki is very easy to learn and yet can make such a big difference in your life. Reiki is transferred from a teacher to the student by an “attunement” during Reiki training. It allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of Life Force Energy to improve his or her health and to enhance quality of life. Once attuned you can channel Reiki through your hands and treat yourself or assist others.
The major advantage of learning how to apply Reiki is that one is not dependent on others for healing.

Your hands are most likely to experience temperature changes when practicing.This is the effect of the Reiki energy flowing through your hands. The person receiving Reiki (that can be you giving yourself or the person you give Reiki) will feel relaxed as the energy reduces physical, emotional and mental stress. The person receiving feels often warmth coming out of the hands of the giver.
Traditionally, Reiki training is a stepwise process, passing through the 1st and 2nd Degrees, then the Master and Teacher levels. You are free to progress from one Degree to the next if you enjoy Reiki and experience inner personal growth.
Reiki training can be quite emotional and intense, that is why all my Reiki training is conducted in small groups or ‘one-on-one’. Also, as my student I guarantee your comfort and well-being. I will always be there for you if you need me. I carry out debriefings and follow-up meetings and/or online conferences with all my students as part of the training package.
There is one point I cannot stress enough: you will be a healer for yourself, however you will be a ‘tool giver’ or a ‘facilitator’ for others. What I mean by that is that people heal themselves with the energy they receive and you are the person that makes that achievable for them. You show them the way to heal, and by giving the Reiki energy and supplying them with the Life Force Energy they then use it to heal themselves.

With each Reiki level you achieve, you will receive a Reiki certificate that formally acknowledges the Reiki training and the attunement you have received.
Reiki involves your body, mind and soul and aims to integrate all these aspects into a harmonious balance. Reiki supports your spiritual growth, enhances personal awareness and intuition. Reiki generates relaxation and reduces stress, allowing the body to heal from within.
A major advantage is that in learning how to apply Reiki one is not dependent on others for healing.
Reiki is not a treatment that just addresses symptoms; instead it gives insight into underlying problems that cause un-wellness in the first place.
Reiki will work in conjunction with any other treatment to relieve side effects and will promote recovery from illness, accidents and surgery. It engages self–healing capacities in many conditions like chronic fatigue, allergies, as well as in psychological problems like phobias, depression, anxiety, coping disorders and addiction.
This Degree takes about 2 days intensive training and is available to those who are practising Reiki at the First Reiki level for at least two to three months.
The Second Degree Reiki Attunement enhances the energy still further. You will be introduced to three Reiki symbols and the corresponding mantras, a powerful tool to gain more introspection and expand the use of the skills as learned in the First Reiki Degree.
The first Symbol (Power) is used to increase the power of Reiki or to focus Reiki on a specific location. The Power Symbol can also be used for the protection from potential hazards or threats.
The second Symbol (Mental, Emotional and Addiction) gives you access to hidden regions of consciousness, be it your own or of a person you treat. Mental healing can help you to transform misdirected energies so that the receiver can experience optimism, love, and happiness. It is here that healing for addiction and unwanted habits can be applied (e.g. smoking/alcohol/gambling cessation and obsessive thoughts/preoccupation).
The third symbol is an essential part of the Second Degree. It lets you send healing energy and mental messages over a distance. This is similar to commonly experienced telepathic phenomena as we all know them, e.g. you think of a friend and at that very moment this person calls you. Reiki energy can be transmitted that same way but more effectively and stronger. The ‘receiver’ and the ‘sender’ experience the treatment as if it were a treatment given one-on-one in the same room. With the distance healing symbol you can also work in the past, present and future.
It is my opinion that you make explicit use of your intuition when applying Reiki symbols. Each Symbol has lots to give and you will find out how to use them in your daily life. Most students describe a strong increase in awareness of their intuition and how to use it for their benefit.
The Second Reiki Degree includes a follow up after 6 weeks (2 hrs, time and day agreed with the group) where we discuss changes you will have experienced and further clarify any questions that have surfaced.
If after the training urgent matters or questions arise, I can always be contacted or you can ask your questions on the Live-Reiki Forum. This limited access internet forum gives my students a very safe environment to share experiences and discuss Reiki and general spiritual questions. I also suggest a Reiki buddy for personal sharing and exchange of energy. The Forum can be helpful in that too.
You should never perform a Reiki Treatment against someone’s will, as this violates Reiki Ethics and may lead to undesired effects. A person receiving the Energy should be willing and ready to receive it.
BOOK NOWBecoming a Reiki Master is the next step after having reached the Second Degree. With receiving the Reiki Master Attunement you will be fully opened up to the Reiki Energy. The training takes 2 days and is available to those who are practicing Reiki at the Second Degree level for four months or longer. Experienced use of all the Reiki symbols learned with the second Degree is a must.
It is vital that you have worked a lot on yourself. In my opinion it is not necessary to have worked a lot with Reiki on other people to be able to achieve the Reiki Master level (it is a definite requirement for the Reiki Teacher though, see next chapter).
Becoming a Reiki Master involves the introduction to another, very strong Symbol. With this Master Symbol you will feel completely integrated with your inner-self. You will also learn to perform the Heart Attunement on yourself and on others. From this stable platform you will be able to introduce others to the practice of Reiki and advance to Reiki Teacher level.

Before taking your teacher training you and I will discuss what you expect / will learn in the class and what your intentions are as a future teacher. It is a serious step that requires adequate preparation, and you need to feel motivated and ready for it. Extended experience with practice in Reiki Degrees 1, 2, and Master is required and the experienced use of all the Symbols is a must. This usually can be done 1-2 years or later after the Reiki Master Degree is obtained.
The path to be a teacher is demanding and I will only have one or two students in training at any given time. I offer the training in person at my place or via zoom sessions. Often students prefer to do a mix of in person and zoom sessions because it feels like we are sitting all together anyway, they can ask all the questions they need to, we still can do the exercises we want to do and they do not need to travel for the 2 hour meetings. The aim is to meet every 3 weeks, you will get homework to prepare, to reflect and to practice. The dates will be discussed with the students and teacher availability.
The training will take 8-12 months and you will have the opportunity to sit in with my other classes. If you learn the Teacher Degree online you can be an observer in the online classes. My teacher students find this very helpful as group dynamics vary so much and the questions are different each time.
It is understandable that being a Reiki Teacher is only an achievable option for those that have reached a complete inner serenity and are 100% comfortable with the energetic interactions between themselves, others and the environment.
The Reiki Teachers I have trained have the option to come to our regular peer meetings. These meetings alternate between at my place or via the internet in live online sessions. These meetings are important for all of us to share experiences and to give support as a peer group. You will be never alone, even if you are on the Teacher level. It is great to work together and to learn from each other. There are always new things to share.
Being a Reiki Teacher is an enormously rewarding experience. The possibility of training Reiki Masters to become Reiki Teachers themselves helps to share this powerful light with the world.
About 6 weeks after the Reiki training, the group will meet again for up to 1.5 hour session to reconnect, to share made experiences, to reflect on changes and to discuss any questions. If support is needed before I am happy for you to call or email me with your questions.
Indeed children can learn Reiki. It depends on their age and interest when to start learning Reiki. I taught Reiki to children 6 years old and older. Children love the playfulness, and kindness of the energy, they see the light and are able to connect easily with the Reiki energy. Teenagers approaching Reiki already more like an adult and they love to have tools they can use for themselves when they are at home or school.
I am happy to teach your child how to use Reiki. We can organise an individual Reiki training and I will adjust my training to the age of your child. If your teenager feels fine in a group with adults, he or she can book also in to a class.
The Live Energy Symbols are Energy Symbols and working with the same energy as Reiki, however they are not coming from Mr Usui and his Reiki system.
There are no limitations on how often you can use Reiki.
You can use Reiki as a treatment (~30min) for yourself and/or just 5-10 min here and there. With using Reiki regularly you allow Reiki to integrate within. Reiki will be a part of your live and you will use Reiki even without noticing.
Oh yes. First I must say I was skeptical too, all the technique and computer. As soon as I gave it a go I realised that I was able to set it up in the same way as a training at my place and that it could be even very convenient for many people to do the training in this way. I also find that the feeling of closeness, oneness can get very strong in distance training groups.
You will learn Reiki in the same way as you would be here in one of my classes, you can ask me questions and we can discuss subject. It is a live interactive Reiki training.

Yes it works very well. The people I gave a distance attunement to Reiki in an online training could feel it very strongly. The Reiki energy is very powerful and does not know distance in the way we do.
